Modirrousta-Galian’s research interests include super-Earths, sub-Neptunes, X-ray and ultraviolet-induced atmospheric evaporation, atmospheric modelling, interior modelling, geological processes, large population simulations, atmospheric spectroscopy, material sciences (laboratory-based), and astrobiology. For outreach, Modirrousta-Galian has regularly collaborated with PalermoScienza and Esperienza InSegna; two Italian-based (INAF, OAPa) non-profit organisations focused on educating high-school students in science. In addition, he has worked in observatories such as the University College London Observatory (UCLO), where he has taught large audiences how to operate refracting and reflecting telescopes as well as answering any scientific questions. He is also an active member of the British Interplanetary Society (BIS), which is an organisation dedicated to the advancement of space science and exploration. Modirrousta-Galian would be delighted to work with more local communities and organisations for the promotion and advancement of science. For any requests, please send an email.

Outside of his professional life, Modirrousta-Galian is an avid traveller and takes great pleasure in learning about new cultures, ideas, and philosophies. In addition, he thoroughly enjoys Jazz as well as trying foods from around the world.
